The internship is designed to enable recent FTP graduates and others with suitable qualifications to work towards completing their supervised practice requirement for registration with FTAI. Interns undertake therapy with Institute clients in a semi-autonomous role.
They are effectively working as junior staff therapists under regular supervision and covered by the Institute’s professional indemnity insurance.
Interviews will be held where deemed necessary.
A detailed set of regulations concerning the internship and the Institute’s clinical handbook will be supplied. Interns are bound by these documents and the Code of Ethics of the FTAI.
