Clanwilliam Institute has pioneered professional training in psychotherapy for two decades. These programmes are designed to meet accreditation by National and European Associations for psychotherapy.
The core programme is the Professional Training Programme in Family Therapy - a four year part-time course leading to the award of an MSc in Systemic Psychotherapy. This programme is accredited by HETAC and also by the Family Therapy Association of Ireland (FTAI), which is the professional body accrediting Marital and Family Training.
Comprehensive supervision training is also available.
For those who have successfully completed a recognised family therapy training programme an Internship programme is available. This provides an opportunity to work directly with clients under regular supervision and is designed to assist those working towards registration as family therapists.
