It is with great sadness we heard of the tragic loss of so many lives in Carickmines this weekend . Clanwilliam offers its condolences to all those who have been affected. Clanwilliam will offer support to any of the children and families or extended families in the forthcoming months as they begin to come to terms with the enormity of this tragedy .
The Clanwilliam Institute receives a grant from the Child and Family department (formally Family Support services) annually to cover our low fee/ no fee appointments. This grant is used to cover the cost in providing these appointments and ensure that our professional counselling and psychotherapy service is available to all individuals, couples and families in a non discriminatory manner.
We provide annual statistical information to the department showing where this grant is spent and this information is also verified by our independent auditor during their annual review.
We are confident that this grant is spent in the areas in which it is provided for Marriage, Children and Bereavement.
The CEO of Clanwilliam Institute welcomes the launch of the new Children and Family Agency and looks forward to working closely with the agency in the future.
We will be holding our information evening on Monday, 27th April here at the Clanwilliam institute starting at 5.00 – 6.30pm. Dr Aileen Tierney will introduce the course and take the group through the varous subjects and levels on the course. Her training team will also take you through their experience on the course. This is a great opportunity to meet the team and have all your questions answered. (This is not a drop in sessions)
It may seem early but we believe that this time in December- preparing for Christmas and New Year is ideal to save a date in our next year’s diaries. Keeping that in mind we would like to invite all our fellow therapists to join Clanwilliam and the Taos Institute for a conference unlike any other.
Beyond the Therapeutic State – Collaborative Practices for Individual and Social Change Conference focuses on inspiring innovations in collaborative practices, featuring collaborative practices relevant to therapy and beyond, with discussions by scholars and practitioners from many sectors of society.
